These black and white images, from the streets of Venice,  attempt to reflect changes through the seasons with a maintained focus on the unique interplay of light, shadow and reflection.  These images further intend to capture snapshots of urban, daily life of a working city pitted against the rising tides of tourism, climate change and other challenges of the 21st century.

Inspired by the modernist photographers and photojournalists of the 20th century and the timeless quality of film, Andy shoots black and white in both digital and analogue - and invariably combine the two technologies by mounting old manual lenses on mirrorless Fujifilm bodies. Interests cover a range of photographic themes but rarely stray from the  street.
