The selection of images below represent an overview of my own personal, photographic journey through Venice. And they reveal a 'slow Venice' with atmospheric scenes, strong geometric shapes formed by light, shadow and architecture, often with an isolated human presence. All of these elements combine to reveal a contemplative vision of a timeless city which, against the odds, continues to survive as the flip-side to the the fast-paced, chaotic and tacky tourist destination, inundated by the flood of daily visitors. Nowadays, it is not always easy to discover, but with the right timing, some patience, and a camera ready to hand, 'slow Venice' can still be captured and appreciated. And my aim, is to share my vision of Venice with you.
